Information Session – Learn the planning process and online requirements in order to build a website. This session will guide you through the basics of understanding and setting a WordPress site. Receive information about: domain name and registration; website hosting services; installing WordPress; search, create and manage content; building pictures portfolio. Handout provided.

TITLE: WordPress 101 – Build Your Own Stunning website
Create a stunning website with WordPress, relax it’s easy! This course is for novices who are not familiar with this web blog platform. WordPress is a popular and powerful web-design tool that can be learned with the basic technical skills. This course is designed to walk you through step-by-step on how to: choose a theme; navigate the dashboard; create pages & menus, how to start a blog, upload pictures and videos; and overview of plugins. Learn the fundamentals, and you can create a fabulous website as well as be able to manage your website. Classes are hands-on, bring your laptop. Notes provided. Prerequisite: For confident intermediate computer users.
